HISTORY
The department of the Gers was created during the French Revolution, in 1790, based upon an old province of Gascony : Armagnac.
The Armagnac groups together numerous little “areas”, each with different and charming characteristics. Our village, Saint-Orens-Pouy-Petit, is located in the heart of one of these, the “Tenarèze” (or Condomois).

The climate is mild, the department is one of the sunniest in France and enjoys 300 sunny days per year.
